Referral Information

Who can refer?

Anyone can refer to Shetland Women’s Aid. You may self-refer or make a referral on someone else’s behalf. If you are referring on behalf of someone else, then it is useful to inform the person that you are doing this and obtaining their consent in doing so.

If you are a professional with concerns for someone you work with and you are unsure on whether Shetland Women’s Aid is the correct service for your client, then do not hesitate to get in touch.

What will happen next?

Once we have received your referral, a member of our team will be in contact with you soon after. We will always make sure that this is done safely, if you are unable to receive a phone call or if it is unsafe to leave a message, please state this in your referral form.

An appointment will then be arranged for you to see one of our trained support workers at a time and place that suits you. This is so we can decide which part of the service is best for you. More information on the services we offer can be found in For Adults.

We have a digital version of our referral form coming soon. You can contact us or download the form below. You can fill it out and email us on office@shetlandwa.org or deliver/post us it at 121A St Olaf Street, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0ES.
