Our Team

At Shetland Women’s Aid, our team is made up of 11 specialist staff working together to support women, children, and young people affected by domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence across Shetland.
Our staff bring a wide range of professional expertise in areas including advocacy, trauma recovery, therapeutic support, prevention education, and community engagement. We are committed to working in a way that is trauma-informed, person-centred, intersectional, and rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect. While our roles and responsibilities differ, every member of our team plays an equally important part in supporting women, children, and young people across Shetland.
Due to the nature of our work, not all members of staff are public-facing. If you would like to contact a member of our team, please email office@shetlandwa.org or call 01595 692070.
